- Unless the red one has had a panel change in its life (or the camera is fooling my eyes), it's most likely a 2009.
- The black one is a 2008, 2009, or a 2010. If it has leather seats, it's a 2009.

Right you are, the red car is an '09. The black one is a '10, in for replacement of the right upper door hinge.

Ouch! The door hinge design wasn't improved until 2011. Broken door hinge means that one ferries around passengers who can't open doors like a normal human.

What's the red one in for?

I bet they both have "crazed" roofs. :)

Fortunately we can sneak the hinge in without disassembling the whole front of the car, it takes about an hour and a half. The red one is in for a service, but has a pretty good oil leak at the pan. Both are filthy so I haven't looked closely at the paint. We'll be washing them before delivery though.

Oh the roof bit is easy. Once they're washed, try looking through the roof. If you see "cracks", then the panel is crazing. The chemical formulation of polycarbonate they used for the roofs were unsuitable for automotive glazing (they deteriorate when exposed to heat and "spot free rinse" chemicals) so they have a failure rate pretty darn close to 100%. Many within the first 6 months of ownership. :O

Took mine 2 years and 6 months to do it. Supposedly they improved the formulation in 2013, but only time will tell (the smart forum has pretty much died to a crawl, so we aren't going to be hearing about any new crazed roofs).
